Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Apostolos N. Ilias MD

Mr Apostolos N. Ilias is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2002. He successfully completed his training programme in 2012.

He has worked for about 5 years across the UK as a Specialty Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He has joined the Trauma and Orthopaedic Departments of the Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. He subspecialized in Shoulder & Upper Limb Surgery, Hip & Knee Surgery, Foot & Ankle Surgery and Adult & Paediatric Trauma.

During his career in the UK he gained great experience in modern techniques of Arthroscopic Shoulder & Knee Surgery and Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction. In addition he has given plenty of lectures and he has trained many junior Orthopaedic trainees and medical students. His portfolio is quite remarkable. He has participated in many courses and conferences across Greece, UK and Europe and he has great numbers of audits, presentations and publications.

After his repatriation in Greece he is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in private practice. He has partnership with the Mediterraneo Hospital, the Metropolitan Hospital, the Metropolitan General Hospital and the Athens Medical Group.
